The Rock
In November 2007 Jon Oliver Communications (JOC) took the next step in its continual growth and moved into Avenue House Lodge, situated in the picturesque village of Tettenhall on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. Situated at the bottom of the Rock at Tettenhall, Avenue House Lodge was built c1840 as the gate house and the stabling accommodation for the owners of, and visitors to, Avenue House in Clifton Road, Tettenhall. Avenue House Lodge has a long history, the buildings have undergone many changes over the decades, and was extensively rennovated between 1998 and 2002. More information on the building.
Since moving in, JOC has sympathetically rennovated the coach house converting stable areas and the upper hayloft area into working offices and a meeting room, combining a fresh contemporary look yet still in keeping with the style of the existing building. Work is still to be done in the kitchen and storage areas with plans for a new roof that will closely match the original style of the building.
