Company History

Jon Oliver Communications (JOC) began in 2001 intitially providing PR services to corporate private sector clients.  Operating primarily at a strategic level, clients began to draw increasingly on its marketing communications knowledge and requested extended services such as web design, brochure and advertising production, exhibition support and strategic planning.

In 2002 a print and design capability was added to the business and new media capabilities followed shortly after.  This resource is used to maintain a high quality of internally produced work and also to ensure our Quality Procedures are understood and adhered to by our associate designers.

In 2003 JOC moved to Wolverhampton Science Park – The second business to move into the Creative Industries Centre – this led to a significant expansion of its customer base with several Public Sector clients awarding contracts.

2004 saw JOC extend its clients to countries as far afield as Dubai and USA (The MD insisted he was the best man to make follow up visits to Dubai!).  Web design also hit a high for us at this time (or a low for our designer!) when we developed a 9 language web site including one in Arabic.

Over the years JOC has had consistent year on year growth developing its existing client base and moving into a diverse range of marketing sectors including food, engineering, giftware, jewellery, oil and gas and Public Sector.

In 2007 we made the dream move to Avenue House Lodge on The Rock in Tettenhall – the home of JOC – this facility has everything the Team, and JOC customers, need to continue the high quality work it is renowned for.  The building was the lodge house for a grand residence, which still exists, at the top of the Rock.  Occupying the former coach house, stables and hay loft this presented a quite different environment for the Team to work in.

2008 saw considerable investment in the business to enhance its resources and capability.  Renovations to The Rock offices have provided us with new offices including a well appointed client meeting room with presentation and video conferencing facilities.  Investment in the Team saw the addition of account management personnel and the business’s committment to Investors in people.
